"Design for Life" – reality TV guff

Design for Life

Well, I made it to the end of The Apprentice “Design for Life” {BBC2 14/09/09 – 12/10/09}.

I’m not sure why I stuck with it – I found it hugely annoying. I guess there was just enough of the promised ‘design’ content to keep my finger hovering over the remote, without quite committing to a channel change.

Electric Dreams on BBC4

I really enjoyed the excellent “Electric Dreams” season that aired recently on BBC4.
As well as reminding me of long forgotten games and gadgets from the 1970s, ’80s & ’90s, the condensing of three decades into three hours made my head spin with the speed of technological development.

Remember these?

It seems like we have had home computers, microwaves, the internet, mp3 players, satellite TV, etc… for soooo much longer than we actually have.
