Let There Be Light
A short post to share a couple of photos I took of the beautiful light installation currently to be seen at Salisbury Cathedral as part of the Magna Carta 800th Anniversary Celebrations. During the day you can wander through the lights and they respond to your sound and movement (I’ve yet to try this). At night, although you can’t physically interact with them (as the gates are closed), you can see the visual effect at its most dramatic. Staring into the lights as they constantly shift hue and intensity is mesmerising. The colour seems to vibrate and transfix the viewer. I think it is stunning.
You can learn more about the installation here, and Squidsoup – the international group of artists who created it – here.
